Dear Colleagues,
We welcome to our 4th Septorhinoplasty Course which is a continuing medical education hosted by the Plastic & Reconstructive Sub Division – Dept. of Otorhinolaryngology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Indonesia and the Maxillofacial – Plastic & Reconstructive Study Group, Indonesian Otorhinolayngology Society.
This three days course is design to review the fundamental of septorhinoplasty and also cover the advance surgical technique in Rhinoplasty through combination of lectures, discussion, video surgical demonstration, demonstration dissection and hands-on Rhinoplasty cadaver lab.
The program cadaver lab will allow participants to perform wide array of Rhinoplasty approaches and technique including augmentation, cartilage graft harvesting and experience turbinate reduction using radiofrequency.

Course Objective
Upon completion of the course, participants will able to :
  1. Master the anatomy, ability to diagnose and treatment planning in septorhinoplasty
  2. Explain the consideration in functional rhinoplasty regarding nasal valve, septum and turbinates. Appreciating a good nasal breathing function as well a good rhinoplasty outcome
  3. Proper septoplasty technique to support an aesthetic rhinoplasty outcome
  4. Understand approaches in rhinoplasty: endonasal and external rhinoplasty consideration on the proper anatomy.
  5. Avoid, identified and manage the complication in Septorhinoplasty
 
Lab – dissection Objective
  1. Improve conceptualization in nasal anatomy.
  2. Employ the technique of septoplasty, rhinoplasty, osteotomies and alar base modification
  3. Employ rhinoplasty approaches : endonasal & external rhinoplasty
  4. Harvesting varies cartilage graft for rhinoplasty
  5. Rhinoplasty Augmentation using autograft and implant
  6. Turbinate reduction using Radiofrequency
